Succession Ecology was engaged to provide ecological support through the design and construction phases of the new Adelaide Aquatic Centre.

Services included:

  • Field surveys of native vegetation, habitat values of regulated and significant trees, and day and night-time activity of Grey-headed Flying-foxes (GHFF; Pteropus poliocephalus)
  • Ecological support for a code amendment application.
  • EPBC Self-assessment to evaluate the risks posed by the project to Matters of National Environmental Significance, including GHFF.
  • Ecological support for development approval, including advice on mitigation and management of environmental risk.
  • Design consultation, including vegetation removal and revegetation planning.
